On Thursday Night Fish n Stu decided it would be a good Idea to got to Melbourne and have sail on the B14. Not long after their 3 peaks adventure, a little unsure of what they would encounter they decided it would be best left as a surprise assault on the cheese plate, which was at that time under the tight control of the Bangers, the force was shifting that night.

Boarding the ferry armed with Mount Gay, Fish n Stu took in an ocean view, they had a very pleasant evening and woke not so fresh, but fresh enough to have good body language for the coming couple of days. The morning consisted of coffee and papers for Fish, whilst Stu took in the ritualistic bay bike ride, equilibrium had been disrupted in the bay region.

Back at the boat park things started to hot up I14's started rolling in, foiling moth girl arrived, no sign of any competition the force was shifting,,,,,,ahhhhh Scott Cunningham looking some what sheepish arrived without a boat.......then Kelvin with 2 boats, some kayakers gave the boys plenty of laughs, Kelvin then bought beer..Fish enjoyed, but Stu struggled after exercise just wanting some food..... Then came Bibey, Loopy, IC, Bangers and the game was on with a dying breeze and leftover slop.

The crews rigged and got on the water ready to face off for the Cheese Plate. Up the first work Fish and Stu got spat out the back door, they then made up some ground on the run but not much. Bangers Dave and Kelvin all took off. The second work was a different story for Both Bibey and Fisher going pretty hard left to get up to the leaders again then the run was a total lottery Bangers and IC gybed off early to find the largest lift and hole on the downwind course, Bibey and Fisher went right Bibey came out on top from Fisher in a dying breeze. the fleet voted and no more sailing was had that day. Fish and Stu commented on a good days sailing and another great night to come....

The dejected but not out just yet....Stu took it upon himself to find somewhere to stay....Stuart Vickery's house thanks to Bangers, the game was now well back in play. By this time the boys had already peeled from the Beers to the rums and it was going to be hard, so Stu had a beer and with that surfed the next wave into the hook of rums....It then got messy. Debate arose over the merits of Musto Skiff vs Pacer the length of Lindsay Irwin's Spreaders, the up coming world titles and how hungry Raph was, in the end the club closed and Raph ordered Pizza to the car park which was consumed in Dave's van, Bangers and Stu climbed into there bed in the cars whilst the boy got a ride from a non sensible driver to the vickery's. Scott and Dave slept together in Daves swag, Pictures to come.

The next day saw some good breeze but it was cold, Stu and Fish felt pretty good the first race got of with a little hiccup with fish coming in high and late at the start, Stu felt this to be very rude and made fish apologise after the finish, Fish didn't like being told he was wrong. The fleet was close to the top mark Dave went round first and took off down hill in great waves and good breeze then came Kelvin followed by Bibey they both hit the piss, it was on Fish came next with a delayed hoist with a big shift sending them straight to the bottom mark bangers was closing fast.
The positions didn't change up the next work and the finish was Dave, Fish, Bangers after some "grouse" waves on the runs!!!

The next race took a while to get going with rescue crews rounding up I14's everywhere. Anyway we were off, someone jumped Kelvin thought it was him, Stu also thought the bone was over in the end Dave OCS'd! Was this the point that ended Dave's chancrews derigged and stashed the boats ready for the BBQ and Seafood dinner everyone was hungry including Raph (Daves Crew), we will come to that soon, dinner was really really good Stu ate heaps of Prawns and was very content.

Dinner was great, but it was still early so we were pacing ourselves we didn't know where we were going to stay so a Designated Driver had to be flipped upon, Stu took the coin Fish called it, came up Heads and fisher won Stu was ces? The first work went well Bangers IC then the Fish & Stu maybe? the run was clean for every one. The next work disaster struck for Fish and Stu the port side shroud pin let go and the rig came down....The base sheered off and the mast went through the bulkhead making a dirty fibreglass mess, gear was ripped and items lost, but no personal injuries to the crew. They got towed in and packed the boat up ready for the ferry trip home..The race continued, Dave won but OCS'd so the points went to Bangers.

It was real cold by now, crews ate fish n chips and dreaded going back out, Kelvin was stuffed so Stu jumped on with Fuzz, off they all went back to the start zone again clean start the majority went left and this paid, Stu and Fuzz went right and got smashed then downwind Kels boat felt really hard to steer Fuzz was trimming ok but Stu needed 2 hands to steer the boat, something was wrong so Stu n Fuzz were out. Bangers went onto win with Dave or IC second.

the final race was close Dave and bangers split tacks on the last down wind with Dave coming out on top.

The series ended really well with one point between Dave and Bangers with Bangers keeping the cheese plate for another year!!!

It was all said and done in 2 big days of racing, fun was had by all. Stu and Fish now just had to make the long journey home, all the crews said there thank yous and goodbyes for another year and headed off for sleep ready for work on Monday morning. Fish and Stu debated about life's psychological mysteries, opportunities lost, the Pisceans, targa cars and super hero's, the force had regained equilibrium.
